Those That "Do", Always "Teach" Too!

Today a I feel like busting the common cliche: "Those that can't do, teach". 

My new saying is: "Those that "Do" always "Teach" too!

There are many, many, masters who have come before us, or live among us that display this talent!
Beautiful, amazing souls like Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, Ghandi, the Dalai Lama, Iyanla Vazant, Oprah Winfrey and Wayne Dyer. Spiritually gifted people who walked among us teaching, sharing and giving of themselves to better our planet.

After his enlightenment, Buddha went to the Deer Park near the holy city of Benares and shared his new understanding with five holy men. They understood immediately and became his disciples. Jesus taught his disciples in the "Sermon on the Mount", one of the most famous pieces of his ministry.  Jesus and his companions traveled to many, many places teaching messages of love and compassion. 

Jesus loved being around children and sharing insights with them.  The 12 apostles, Jesus' main companions, often received teachings by living example and his words.

Muhammad received his first revelation from God at 40, through the Angel Gabriel. He continued to receive revelations for 23 years, on topics ranging from the Oneness of God and His wondrous handiwork, to stories of earlier prophets, morality and ethics, and life after death. These revelations became collectively known as the Quran, and are considered by Muslims to be the literal word of God; the Prophet's own words were collected separately. When Muhammad first began to teach about Islam he did so privately and publicly in Mecca.

People began to accept Islam, both men and women, in large numbers until the fame of it was spread throughout Mecca, and it began to be talked about. (Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah, p. 117).

Mahatma Ghandi inspired the world with his faith in truth and justice for all Mankind. He was a great soul who loved even those who fought against his ideals to bring about peace with non-violence. He has been called the"Father of India".

His life was a message — a message of peace over power, of finding ways to reconcile our differences, and of living in harmony with respect and love even for our enemy.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama gives teachings throughout the year at various times and in different places. His Holiness also gives public talks. In India, teachings and public talks are usually free and open to the public. However, to attend teachings and public talks outside of India one usually is required to purchase a ticket.  Oprah Winfrey and Iyanla Vazant and two of the most powerful teaching women on the planet today. 

Oprah's OWN channel carries incredible teaching programs like: Oprah's Life Class, Super Soul Sunday, Oprah's Next Chapter and many others. This year Oprah's Life Class had a stop in St. Louis, MO with Iyanla and an international audience (On Skype with 6 people around the world and live feeds on Facebook & Twitter), their topic: Stopping the Pain. Some of them lost their lives for their beliefs and causes.  They all took the time to live what they believed in. They all also took the time to teach others by words AND example.  My goal is to continue to grow myself and TEACH others around the planet on how we are all of ONE common spirit.  Spirit connects us all.

Celebrate Your Life Phoenix-Sedona 2012

Annually, you could pretty much mark your calendar in November that Celebrate Your Life & Mishka Productions was going to be holding an event in Phoenix, AZ.  The weather is always beautiful and the energy is high, the Speakers and Authors love coming here at that time of year.

THIS YEAR WILL HAVE A CHANGE!

This year's event will be held at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona, AZ, Nov 8-12.  The Enchantment Resort exist on spiritually hallowed ground.  One of my friends, Dave Keadle, who has been there 3 different times said, "You can definitely feel a different vibe while walking around there." The grounds are on one of the powerful vortexs in the Sedona area.

The following Authors will be there: Iyanla Vanzant, Doreen Virtue, Sonia Choquette, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Rickie Byars Beckwith, Neale Donald Walsch, Sunny Dawn Johnston, Caroline Sutherland, Denise Linn, Sarah MacLean and a special opening ceremony with Uqualla, a Medicine Man from the Havasupai Tribe.
The event will be uniquely different.  More intimate, more involving nature (being outside), collaborativily created by all the authors.  Everyone will be able to rub shoulders, interact with and be with the authors throuighout the weekend.

The Story Behind the 10 Year Anniversary Event!

Dear Celebrate Your Life Fans,

So many of you have been asking us why we changed the format for Celebrate Your Life. After sharing the story with a CYL fan, she said to me, "This event is truly Divinely Guided".

She is right.

It came time for us to book our venue for the 2012 November event in the Phoenix Metro area. I immediately went to the resort that had be...en housing us for many years, much to my dismay there was no space available. I was shocked and even spoke to the regional VP. There was nothing they could do for us, another sales person had sold the space.

I took this as a sign to look for another venue. We looked everywhere and not one hotel had room for us. I immediately went into meditation and asked the Angels for guidance. This was our 10 year anniversary and I had longed to make this event special. For many years, I have used Doreen Virtue's Mermaid & Dolphin cards. They are a wonderful guide for me and pretty accurate.
 

I kept pulling the card "Time to Move On". I was concerned and confused (okay, a bit freaked out too!) so I picked up the phone and what better person to call, but the creator of the cards herself! Doreen is a dear friend and was happy to help. She took a breath and started to give me messages from the Angels. "Liz, the Angels are clearly telling me that it's time to do something very different. You need to do the event in a power place on the planet and they are telling me Sedona. They are also telling me Enchantment Resort as it sits on a very large vortex of energy. The event needs to be smaller, intimate and much more in depth as it is time to take people to a deeper level".

Doreen continued and even shared with me what the Angels were telling her about the line-up of presenters and who needed to be there. My head was spinning because I knew what this would mean in terms of it being a smaller event AND I thought there was no way that Enchantment would still have room for us at this late date.

In spite of my limited thinking, I picked up the phone, spoke to a sales person and not only did they have meeting space, but hotel rooms as well. I then called all the presenters and they were available too! I shared all this with the Mishka Team and we all started to brainstorm on creating something extraordinary and special.

Needless to say, this 10 year anniversary event is extremely Divinely Guided and it will be an extraordinary event. We are so honored to have been given this opportunity to create such a magnificent and soulful experience. We hope to see you there!!
