Celebrate Your Life Phoenix-Sedona 2012

Annually, you could pretty much mark your calendar in November that Celebrate Your Life & Mishka Productions was going to be holding an event in Phoenix, AZ.  The weather is always beautiful and the energy is high, the Speakers and Authors love coming here at that time of year.

THIS YEAR WILL HAVE A CHANGE!

This year's event will be held at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona, AZ, Nov 8-12.  The Enchantment Resort exist on spiritually hallowed ground.  One of my friends, Dave Keadle, who has been there 3 different times said, "You can definitely feel a different vibe while walking around there." The grounds are on one of the powerful vortexs in the Sedona area.

The following Authors will be there: Iyanla Vanzant, Doreen Virtue, Sonia Choquette, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Rickie Byars Beckwith, Neale Donald Walsch, Sunny Dawn Johnston, Caroline Sutherland, Denise Linn, Sarah MacLean and a special opening ceremony with Uqualla, a Medicine Man from the Havasupai Tribe.
The event will be uniquely different.  More intimate, more involving nature (being outside), collaborativily created by all the authors.  Everyone will be able to rub shoulders, interact with and be with the authors throuighout the weekend.

The Story Behind the 10 Year Anniversary Event!

Dear Celebrate Your Life Fans,

So many of you have been asking us why we changed the format for Celebrate Your Life. After sharing the story with a CYL fan, she said to me, "This event is truly Divinely Guided".

She is right.

It came time for us to book our venue for the 2012 November event in the Phoenix Metro area. I immediately went to the resort that had be...en housing us for many years, much to my dismay there was no space available. I was shocked and even spoke to the regional VP. There was nothing they could do for us, another sales person had sold the space.

I took this as a sign to look for another venue. We looked everywhere and not one hotel had room for us. I immediately went into meditation and asked the Angels for guidance. This was our 10 year anniversary and I had longed to make this event special. For many years, I have used Doreen Virtue's Mermaid & Dolphin cards. They are a wonderful guide for me and pretty accurate.
 

I kept pulling the card "Time to Move On". I was concerned and confused (okay, a bit freaked out too!) so I picked up the phone and what better person to call, but the creator of the cards herself! Doreen is a dear friend and was happy to help. She took a breath and started to give me messages from the Angels. "Liz, the Angels are clearly telling me that it's time to do something very different. You need to do the event in a power place on the planet and they are telling me Sedona. They are also telling me Enchantment Resort as it sits on a very large vortex of energy. The event needs to be smaller, intimate and much more in depth as it is time to take people to a deeper level".

Doreen continued and even shared with me what the Angels were telling her about the line-up of presenters and who needed to be there. My head was spinning because I knew what this would mean in terms of it being a smaller event AND I thought there was no way that Enchantment would still have room for us at this late date.

In spite of my limited thinking, I picked up the phone, spoke to a sales person and not only did they have meeting space, but hotel rooms as well. I then called all the presenters and they were available too! I shared all this with the Mishka Team and we all started to brainstorm on creating something extraordinary and special.

Needless to say, this 10 year anniversary event is extremely Divinely Guided and it will be an extraordinary event. We are so honored to have been given this opportunity to create such a magnificent and soulful experience. We hope to see you there!!

Having a Little Fun - at the Mishka Offices!

Farewell to our Beloved Pat Rodegast

It is with great sadness that I share with you the departure of one of the finest spiritual teachers of our time, Pat Rodegast. Pat transitioned yesterday, April 4th.

For over 30 years, Pat Rodegast channeled a spiritual guide named Emmanuel. Many of you remember Pat from Celebrate Your Life. She was a regular presenter for many years.  Emmanuel's gentle loving and truthful wisdom always rang true to my soul.

In 1984, Ram Dass discovered Pat and Emmanuel while listening to a radio show and was quite taken with their work.  Ram Dass wrote the forward for Pat's first book, called Emmanuel's Book. 

My mother, Ariel, immediately resonated with Emmanuel's messages. The book fell out of the bookshelf in a store and landed at her feet. After reading the book, she sent a copy to me in LA where I was living.  I was 26 years old. She told me to read it with my heart, not my head. Just a few months after reading the book, Pat came to LA for an evening lecture followed by a full day workshop. I attended the evening lecture but did not have money for the full day event.  I begged the coordinators to volunteer for the full day but they did not have room for me.

Early the next morning I received a phone call.  The event coordinators had someone gift them a ticket and I was first on the list.  I went to the workshop and sat for 8 hours in a fold out metal chair completely silent, motionless and mesmerized. My mind was still and my heart was soaring. I will always remember how my soul celebrated that day as I listened to the truth of this human existence from Emmanuel.

My mother and I continued to follow Emmanuel and Pat's work and then one amazing day, we received an exciting phone call.

My mom and I had already started Mishka Productions.  This was around 1998. The woman on the other end introduced herself as Cheryl and shared with us that she lived in Arizona with her family and her mother-in-law who came to visit them quite often was an author.  She wanted to know if we wanted to do an event with her mother-in-law. Cheryl then said "I don't know if you have ever heard of her, but her name is Pat Rodegast and she channels a spirit guide called Emmanuel." Ariel and I started to cry, we were over joyed and could not believe what we were hearing.

One thing led to another and naturally we began working with Pat and Emmanuel. It was a love affair in heart and soul. We all became dear dear friends and most especially Ariel and Pat.  They were two stunningly gentle sage women.

I am certain that Ariel and Pat are celebrating together, honoring their lives in human form and drinking a delicious glass of red wine.

Here's to you Pat. You gave me a path to love when I was in great fear.  I love you.

Stay Connected to Love...

There is no doubt that many of us are feeling the effects of change as we enter 2012.  It‘s almost as if we are on a roller coaster and we are hanging on tightly as we shift through the turbulent motion of going uphill and then moving at the speed of light as we descend.  It is most definitely an interesting time on our planet.

I remember my beautiful mother Ariel, who doubled in my life as one of my greatest spiritual teachers, sharing with me that there would be time of intense stress that would bring up people’s fears.  She further shared that this would be the moment when we would need to be extremely practiced at being able to stay connected to who we truly are, which is simply love.  My mother would continuously share with me that part of our mission on the planet is to completely identify with love not fear, to choose embracing an open heart and not ego.

I understand all too well that this is easier said than done.  My mother understood that as well.  Perhaps that is why in 1995 we created our family business, Mishka Productions.  Ariel was a firm believer in spiritual education and wanted to do something to help shift and uplift the consciousness of the planet.  She and I embarked on developing workshops and conferences with teachers who embraced like-minded concepts.

For many years, we created one event a month and then in 2002, she and I created an event that to this day brings people from all over the world to participate.  We decided to bring together over 20 of the country’s top bestselling authors and most sought after spiritual teachers to present workshops and keynote lectures for an entire four days.  When we started the event we had no idea the magnificence in what we were creating. My mother appropriately named this event, “Celebrate Your Life!”

Although my beautiful mother transitioned in 2009, I have continued to move forward with our mission.  We have continued presenting the Celebrate Your Life conference in Arizona and Chicago.  The 6^th annual Celebrate Your Life Chicago will be on June 8-10, 2012.  This is quite an accomplishment for two Jewish girls who got started with a phone line in her dining room.

There are moments when organizing an event of this magnitude can be tiring, however what keeps me going are all the life-changing and inspiring comments we receive from attendees.  Here is something from a conference attendee:
